I have learned that only my own faith can touch Heaven

Have you called upon everyone you know within the church, asking them to intercede in prayer for your child?

Have you reached out to every Christian friend, believing that united faith would move the hand of God?

Have you brought your child before pastors and elders, allowing them to lay hands and pray with expectation and authority?

Have you attended healing services and revival gatherings, standing in hope that the Holy Spirit would move with power and bring instantaneous healing?

And yet… nothing happened. No miracle manifested, no visible healing took place, no immediate answer came. The prayers were sincere, the faith was genuine and the hope was real. However, the healing did not come as expected.

Me!! I endeavored to employ every method that was listed, yet none yielded the desired result. I did not see any change on my son…

In the year 2022, I walked through one of the darkest seasons of my life. As my family stood on the brink of making the difficult decision to proceed with surgery, I once again reached out to everyone I knew and asked them to pray for my son and hoping the major operation could be successful. There were so many people responded, and many prayers were lifted on our behalf.

And yet, when I look back and ask the painful question- did those prayers work? My honest answer is NO!

Before I go any further, please allow me to share with you just how terrifying the situation truly was for my son in 2022.

It was a time filled with fear, uncertainty, and helplessness. Each day carried the weight of unanswered questions, and each night was marked by anxious waiting. As parents, we stood powerless, watching our child suffer, clinging to hope while bracing ourselves for the worst.

This was not a distant trial or a minor setback. It was a valley- deep, dark, and overwhelming- one that tested our faith, our endurance, and our understanding of prayer itself.

Everything changed one evening during a prayer gathering with a small group of church friends. As we stood together in faith beside my son’s hospital bed via zooming on the phone, the Holy Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ came into that room…

In that sacred moment, He met us where we were (I couldn’t see Him with my eyes, but He was there), and He touched me and blessed me with overwhelming shalom peace and followed with a private season of instruction lasted nine months.

It was not loud or dramatic, yet it was unmistakable. In the midst of fear and exhaustion, the presence of God became real and near. What had been a place of anguish became, for that moment, holy ground. And through my circumstances had not yet changed, I was changed.

Long story short, as I listened attentively to Pastor John’s sermons, I came to a profound understanding: it is OUR OWN FAITH that must reach out and touch God.

From that moment, I ceased relying on others to pray on my behalf. Instead, I resolved in my heart to seek the Lord personally, pursing Him with unwavering faith and wholehearted devotion.

The story of this woman who had suffered from a bleeding condition for twelve long years reminds us that faith is actually visible to God. Her unwavering determination, despite years of pain and disappointment, demonstrates that true faith is expressed through action. As she reached out in faith, believing that even a touch of Christ’s garment would bring healing, God saw her faith and responded.

This narrative teaches us that when we earnestly seek God’s divine healing, our faith is revealed not merely through words, but through perseverance, obedience, and courageous action.

From one of Pastor John’s sermons, I learned about Dodie Osteen, the wife of Pastor John Osteen, who was once diagnosed with stage-four liver cancer. The doctors had given her only a few weeks to live, yet by the power of God and through steadfast faith, she was completely healed. Her testimony became a living witness to the faithfulness of God and the reality of His miraculous power.

This testimony stirred my heart deeply and led me to seek the same God for a miracle of my own. For the Scriptures declare that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. I was given a period of two months to pray for a miracle, and my longing to see my son live burned fiercely within me. With unwavering determination, I resolved to redeem every day and every moment before the scheduled operation- seeking God with all my heart, pouring myself into prayer, faith, and complete dependence on Him.

Broken-hearted parents, do you know that we are actually in a warfare with demons?

I have learned that as parents, we must fight against the devil to protect our own children- with full armor of God and win the battle through our own violent faith!

What I share with you here flows from personal experience- through a season of intense spiritual warfare that I endured. As Christians, we understand that sickness, suffering, and destruction do not originate from God. They enemy (demons) come to steal, to kill, and to destroy, but Christ has come that we may have life, and life in abundance.

During my time of trial, I became deeply aware of the reality of spiritual opposition. In moments of profound vulnerability, I sensed its presence; through dreams and overwhelming encounters, I felt threatened and pressed beyond my strength.

My son’s life was repeatedly endangered, and my own spirit was weighed down by a darkness that sought to consume me through severe depression.

As my faith matured, I learned to stand firm and fight!

I engaged the battle not with fear, but with perseverance- through constant prayer and unwavering worship, even facing the medical facts that my son might not be able to survive at times. In those moments, I refused to surrender my mind or spirit to darkness, because I know God is faithful to deliver us!

There were countless occasions when I actively rejected the oppressive thoughts that sought to take hold of me. I resisted them deliberately, casting them off and refusing their influence. In the authority granted through Christ, I commanded every force of darkness to leave my mind and withdraw from my life.

This was not a passive struggle. It was a conscious, determined stand- choosing faith over fear, truth over deception, and light over darkness. Through prayer, worship, and steadfast reliance on God, I learned that the enemy’s voice has no power where the authority of Christ is firmly established.

You may ask,” Even after listening to the sermon by Pastor John Osteen that you shared earlier, I still struggle to understand how to fight an enemy my eyes cannot see. I know Scripture tells us we are not against flesh and blood, but exactly HOW?”

Now, please allow me to illustrate- through a few examples from my own life, what God graciously taught me during the year 2022.

1, God gave us His Word

Testimony with explanation:

If you carefully consider the testimony of my son’s major operation, you will understand the severity of his condition. There was a hernia measuring about six inches in size within his body, causing internal organs (intestines, stomach and pancreas) to be drawn upward from the abdomen and placing dangerous pressure upon his lungs. It was extremely difficult to fix the big hole because of my son’s diagnosis which causes his tissues, fibers, blood vessels, muscles, connective tissues become very fragile, so every cut they do during the operation can easily cause massive bleeding…

You might ask how the surgical team was able to repair and restore such a serious condition, and how on earth my Jadon survived from such a high-risk operation. From my perspective of faith, I testify that this outcome was not achieved by human effort alone. I give all glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.

In a manner that left even the medical team astonished, the hernia had closed significantly on its own. What had once appeared to be a large and severe opening was reduced to a small, manageable one. As a result, the surgeons were required only to stitch a minor opening rather than undertake a far more extensive repair.

How did it happen? How did I pray? How many times did I pray for that to manifest? How did I pray and fight for my son’s survival from this high-risk major operation?

These two Bible verses are familiar to every Christian. Yet they remain merely words on a page unless they are fully applied in our daily prayers, speak His promises, and boldly claim them in faith, His truth moves from Scripture into experience.

Below is an example of how I prayed for my son, whole body- his muscles, tissues, blood vessels and fibers was fragile and weak due to the fatal diagnosis:

Lord Jesus, You are the resurrection and life. You said whoever believes in You will never die.  So, now I speak resurrection life over every part of my son’s body. The same resurrection power Lord You were rose from the dead; the same resurrection power Lord You rose Jairas’ daughter and Lazarus from the dead; the same resurrection life You rose all the cripple and the paralyzed from the bed.

I speak this same resurrection life over my son’s tissue, fiber, muscles, connective tissue, I command all of you be full of resurrection life in Christ Jesus, I command all of you all be strengthened. As for the hernia, I command you all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, close up by yourself!”

My desire to see my son to live was so strong that every time I boldly declared before the Lord when I sought Him,” Lord, You said in the Bible with long time you shall satisfy my Jadon. So, Jadon and I we boldly claim your promise as children of God! We boldly declare that my son shall NOT die, but live, and will declare the works of the Lord. We are going home together, in Jesus’ name!”

And yes, this was only a small portion of my daily prayer back in the year 2022. So, I had fully embraced and applied this Scripture into my prayers, prayed earnestly and persistently, day and night from early March until May 4th- the scheduled operation. For two whole months, I placed my complete trust in God’s healing and His faithfulness.

You know what happened to the hernia? The chief surgeon approached me that early evening, shortly after my son had been admitted to the CICU ward. She said, “As for the hernia, something very interesting happened, as we slowly pulled down all the other organs from Jadon’s chest area, the big hole six inches in size, closed up by itself! So, we only need to fix the small hole instead of the giant one.”

As soon as she said that to me, I was shouting with indescribable joy from my heart and jumping in front of her, “Yes! Thank you, Jesus!”

Lord Jesus answered my prayer! He had blessed me with exactly what I had been praying for. This experience demonstrates that when we apply God’s Word in our prayers- speaking what God declares about our children rather than relying solely on human medical diagnoses; and boldly proclaim His promises, God remains faithful to act on our behalf. God cannot lie, and He faithfully fulfills His promises, delivering and protecting our children according to His Word.

2, God gave us His Blood

His precious blood will always be in our prayer- during partaking the Holy communion:

The Holy Communion is a sacred and marvelous means through which we receive healing by the power of God. Since my son’s operation in 2022, I have remained steadfast in partaking of the Lord’s Supper each time I come before God in prayer for my son’s healing, standing firmly on the promises of His Word.

Jesus Christ bled and died upon the cross so that we may boldly proclaim, with faith and confidence, that He has redeemed us from the curse of the Law. As the Scripture declare,” By His stripes we are healed.” Through His suffering, my son/daughter receives healing.

When we pray, we can declare with confidence,” Lord Jesus Yourself bore every sickness, disease, suffering, and pain upon Your body at Calvary. You were broken so that my son/daughter can be made whole. Thank you for Your precious blood that you shed on the cross. We claim our healing and redemption, in Jesus’ name.”

3, God gave us His Name

Our lives can be saved through the powerful name of Jesus Christ. God gave us His name to call upon when we are facing death-sentence like diagnosis.

For many years, I did not understand why people continued to call the Lord Jesus the Savior- until He saved my son Jadon’s life.

When my son was first diagnosed with a rare and fatal genetic disease, given up by the whole earth, I called upon His Name with the last small measure of hope I had left. He heard my prayer and blessed me with an instantaneous miracle, the details of which are shared at the beginning of the front page.

In 2022, during a couple of important meetings, the entire surgical team repeatedly warned us that there was a very high risk we could lose our son on the day of his operation. In that critical season, it was the name of Jesus- which is above every other name, that I lifted high as I fought the good fight of faith. He turned the situation around and saved my son’s life from the power of darkness.

Many of us are taught from an early age how great our God is and have believed in Him for decades. Yet beyond calling upon His name and praying for divine solutions, we often remain anxious and distressed, spending precious time in worry and crying when we could be worshiping.

Let us learn to use the powerful name we have already been given- the mighty weapon and source of hope!

We serve a good and gracious Father in Heaven, whose love for us is steadfast and unconditional. We are created in His image, and through Christ, we have been given the authority of His name when we come before Him in prayer and ask for healing and blessing. Scripture assures us that when we ask anything according to God’s will, in His name, He hears us (1 John 5:14).

Beloved, healing is not foreign to heart of God- it is consistent with His compassion and character. Throughout the Bible, we see His promises revealed, including many powerful assurances of healing. These promises are not merely words on a page; they are covenant declarations from a faithful God to His children.

You may ask, ” What does it mean to claim His promise?” It means that when we pray, we do so with confidence in what He has already spoken. We open the Scriptures, find His promise where it is written, and pray with faith:

“Lord Jesus, here in Your Word I see Your promise. As Your child, I receive what You have declared. I believe that I receive this healing, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

This is not presumption- it is trust. It is taking God at His Word. Our Father is generous, merciful, and faithful. He is able to heal all type of disease and restore every broken place (including genes) according to His perfect will.

Therefore, let us come boldly before the throne of grace. Let us not hesitate in doubt or fear, but simply just ask in faith. He remains forever faithful to His Word.

Shalom to you all!

I was genuinely taken aback to discover the abundance of responses and comments received overnight!

I wish to clarify that this post is not yet complete.

Before establishing this blog, I personally endured a profound spiritual battle in the year 2022 - a season marked by intense struggle and deep revelation. That experience has since compelled me to reflect, to seek understanding, and to prepare what I believe may be of value to others who walk similar paths.

There is much insight and important contents I intent to share here in due time. I ask for your patience and invite you to remain attentive as this work unfolds. More will be revealed as the journey continues...
